Established in 1965 as the publishing arm of the University of the same name, The Kent State University Press originally published works in the area of literary criticism, in keeping with the University faculty’s strengths. In the decades since, the press has also become recognisable for their scholarly works on military history, regional Ohio studies, and a wider range of literary studies that further knowledge of the humanities and preserve and promote a literate society.
