We’ve now had a chance to reflect on our time at London Book Fair, the biggest event in the UK publishing industry’s calendar. Publishers came from all parts of the globe to our stand at the Fair, making it a very busy but very exciting three days for the team at Eurospan.

In our new position nestled between some of the biggest names in academic and professional publishing, we were pleased to welcome representatives from four of our client-publishers, who shared stand space with us for their meetings.

It was great to have so many of our clients who were visiting the Fair stop by to say hello. With many of our publishers being based across the Atlantic or even further, the Fair was the perfect venue to catch up, and a great opportunity for the newer members of our team to meet our publishers and put faces to names.

Squeezed between meetings, our lunchbreaks were spent exploring further afield, and into the trade hall. The market focus on the Baltic Countries introduced us to Estonian writer and columnist Mihkel Mutt, Lithuanian writer and art historian Kristina Sabaliauskaitė, and Latvian novelist and essayist Nora Ikstena. And of course, we were all very excited to catch a few glimpses of Jacqueline Wilson.

All in all, it was a very successful Fair for the team, and a perfect end to months of hard preparation! London Book Fair 2019 will be held Tuesday 12th – Thursday 14th March, and we’re looking forward to it already.
