The University of North Texas Press publishes approximately fifteen books a year for both  the academic and general reader, with an emphasis on Texana, military history, and multicultural topics. The Press publishes in humanities and social sciences, with special emphasis on Texas history and culture, military history, western history, criminal justice, folklore, multicultural topics, music, natural and environmental history, culinary history, and women's studies.
